I am truly blown away by the talent of the artists, engineers, and producers that I work with on a daily basis. After chatting with, working with, and helping producers from all around the world, I've noticed something that has been very clear to me: there are producers all over the world pumping out amazing sounding music! I speak to producers in their bedroom and am blown away by the quality they are able to achieve with the limited amount of resources available to them. I also speak to producers in multi-million dollar studios and again, am blown away by how many excellent engineers and producers there are, creating excellent sounding music.
However, the common denominator with all of these producers, is that they really don't understand the mastering process as well as they do the production or mixing process. This really upsets me because if you understand the mastering process the way a true mastering engineer does, it will affect how you mix, how you produce, how you design sound, and even how you record. The specific things I am listening for when I am mastering for my clients, never cross my client's mind at any time during the production process. And when I truly push back on my clients and show them some things they could be doing to make the master sound better, they can't begin to thank me enough for adding an objective perspective to their mixes. Unfortunately, they wish they knew these things before they started creating.
Enough is enough, I am going to just show you exactly what I do and listen for when I am mastering. This training is incredibly in-depth and is only for the serious, serial perfectionist. I can't wait to pull back the curtain on the dark art of audio mastering for you so that you can confidently get Grammy-winning, industry standard, loudness and quality with your mixes. See you in the training!
